If you have not completed your holiday shopping as yet, and still have some last minute gifts to buy, then using your credit card can benefit you.
Some of the credit card companies are offering incentives to anyone using their credit cards to make purchases during the holiday season.
For example, Discover Card will be offering a $20 Discover card gift card to anyone charging at least $200 to their credit card at shopping malls they have partnered with. This promotion will be available until New Years Day.
Anyone having an MBNA credit card will be able to use it to make purchases during the holidays, and be entered into a contest to win $250,000 as the grand prize, or $25 off, on their credit bill, as a secondary prize.
However, instead of contests or gift cards, Chase has decided to award members of their Continental credit card with the ability to earn triple flyer points that can be redeemed towards trips.
With these promotions occurring, it is a win-win situation for both the credit card company and the consumer.
