According to an article by Ted Griffith, appearing on delawareonline.com, with scaling back its credit card business, Bank of America is expected to outsource the work to well-known credit card provider, MNBA. As a result of outsourcing to MNBA, 70 new jobs will be created at MNBA, “The shift of Bank of America processing work from Columbus, Ga.-based TSYS to MBNA is expected to result in the addition of about 70 jobs split between facilities in Delaware and Texas, stated Alexandra Liftman, spokesperson for Bank of America.
However, this scaling back is expected to result in a lost of up to 3,000 jobs in Delaware. The outsourcing is a result of Bank of America “buying out” MNBA.
