This morning an article appearing on the finance section of europinions.com stated that UK Shoppers are expected to spend over £500 billion (US $867 Billion) in sales using their credit cards.
This is an estimate, from Datamonitor, of the amount of credit card transactions that is expected to take place in 2006.
This is not surprising compared to the statistic that Datamonitor released about the amount of UK residents with approximately £200,000 (US $342,000) in their bank accounts is supposed to rise to more than one million.
From these numbers it can be seen that the UK residents are expected to have more money to throw around in 2006.
